Ascot Days

Tuesday 20th June

The first day kicks off Royal Ascot in fine fashion holding 3 Group One races, the Queen Anne Stakes, the King’s Stand Stakes and the St. James’s Palace Stakes. Considering this day holds the most Group One races, it is expected to be the most competitive day out of them all, so remember to bring enough money to bet and hope for a large return.
Wednesday 21st June

The Wednesday holds the race which last year celebrated its 150th anniversary, the Prince of Wales Stakes, which is often called one of the best races at Royal Ascot with a purse of £400,000. Having had the first 3 Group One races out of the way after the first day, this is the ideal time for first timers to go and experience the atmosphere of only one Group One race.
Thursday 22nd June

The Thursday is usually one of the most popular days of the week as it is Ladies Day and everyone splashes out on fabulous dresses and suits due to the dress code for both genders being very strict. The biggest Group One race of the 5 days and one of the most famous races in the world takes place on Ladies Day, the Gold Cup.
Friday 23rd June

The penultimate day to Royal Ascot is the Friday and it sets up the big final day of Royal Ascot very nicely with electrifying races such as the Coronation Stakes and the King Edward VII Stakes. Normally, Friday is a big day of the week anyway starting off the weekend, so this is a day where the guests are most relaxed as they get the drinks flowing.
Saturday 24th June

The final day of Royal Ascot provides some of the best races of the year finishing off what is guaranteed to be one of the greatest weeks of horse racing this year. The Diamond Jubilee Stakes is the Group One race on the final day and without fail, it gets the crowd going creating a wonderful atmosphere.
