  • Red Bull

    Red Bull Grand Prix TeamRed Bull are one of the younger teams having raced their debut season in 2005. They are now considered to be one of the best teams in the sport, winning the Constructors’ Championship four consecutive times. It took them a while to find the perfect setup but when they did, Sebastian Vettel used it well, propelling his team to victory in the Constructors title consecutively in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013.

    The Red Bull team is managed by Christian Horner and uses a Renault V6 engine. Red Bull cars are now driven by Daniel Ricciardo and Daniil Kvyat.

  • Mercedes

    Mercedes Grand PrixMercedes are a German team who first raced in Formula 1 in 1954, but up until recently were unable to compete with their historic rivals, McLaren. They finished the 2012 season in 5th place under Ross Brawn but since then, have signed the English Formula 1 driver, Lewis Hamilton.

    Mercedes had been winless for the previous three years, which means Hamilton faced no small task, especially after enjoying so much success at McLaren. He races alongside German Nico Rosberg, who moved to Mercedes after a long career with Williams in 2010. The new relationship proved and continues to prove fruitful, as they won the Constructors’ Championship in 2014, and look to do the same in 2015.

  • Ferrari

    Ferrari is the Italian team who are known worldwide as one of the fastest teams ever. However, at the start of the 2012 season they were 1.5 seconds slower than Red Bull. Fernando Alonso however, with a remarkable show of driving skill and determination, managed to pull his team to 2nd place in the Constructors title.

    Ferrari’s cars are now driven by Kimi Räikkönen and Sebastian Vettel – they struggled in the 2013 season despite such an all-star lineup – Räikkönen and Fernando Alonso, who was replaced for the 2015 season by Vettel. The team continues to improve.

  • Lotus

    Lotus Grand Prix Team ProfileLotus is a French team who first raced in Formula 1 in 1977 under the name Renault, but a later renaming granted Lotus their place in Formula 1. In more recent years they have improved somewhat, and are currently partnered with Romain Grosjean and Pastor Maldonado.

    Räikkönen left his career as a rally driver after 2 years in the profession and became Lotus’ number one driver. He raced alongside Romain Grosjean and under the team manager Eric Boullier. The Finn was replaced by Maldonado for the 2014 season.
