Twickenham stadium is a fantastic sporting arena, and on top of the scintillating rugby action you can enjoy some top end hospitality, catering and service.
In 2012 England had four bruising encounters at Twickenham against Fiji, Australia, South Africa and the current World Champions, New Zealand.
England managed a comfortable victory over an enthusiastic and physical Fijian team, running in a total of seven tries, ending in a 54-12 win to the men in white. Being a 2nd tier game against weaker opposition did not put off the rugby fans, as Twickenham was a sell-out which made for a fantastic atmosphere and a great day out.
The second match of England’s autumn series was against a wounded Australian team who were recovering from a heavy defeat at the hands of the French. In what was a very tight and physical game with just two tries scored, the Wallabies emerged victorious which dented the English hopes of an autumn Grand slam.
The South African rugby union team are widely regarded as the toughest team to face in terms of physicality. A brave England performance against the Springboks was not enough with the South Africans winning by just a single point.
The defeat in the previous match did not affect the England team and they were confident of a massive upset going in the match against a formidable All Blacks team. At a sold out Twickenham, England put together some of best rugby played by an England team for years and took the game to the All Blacks in what ended up being a record winning margin in the long standing fixture.
