The festival is one of the largest meetings of the flat racing season and is hosted at one of the most prolific race courses in the UK. Chester Racecourse is well known for its stunning back drop, race day atmosphere and VIP hospitality options. You can enjoy a classic day at the races in surroundings that compare to the finest meetings of the flat racing calendar.
Day one of the May festival is Chester Cup day, The Chester Cup is the featured race of the day and dates back to 1824. It is one of the meetings most highly anticipated races and guarantees horse racing fans the chance to see some of the greatest horses in action. Day two is Ladies Day, and as you might expect it is the most glamorous day at the event. Ladies Day at the festival, is followed by Chester City Day and features the Group 3 Ormonde Stakes as the highlight of the afternoon.

On race days, the Racecourse is sign posted from all the major routes into Chester. The nearest train station to the racecourse is Chester, providing links from Liverpool at 30 minute intervals throughout evening times and every 15 minutes in the daytime.
