The Barclays ATP Finals is a completely exclusive tennis tournament for the top eight ranked players in the world. This is for both Singles and Doubles. This means that you have the opportunity to witness the best tennis in the world at London’s O2 Arena.
Even though the tournament is indoors it attracts spectators and corporate clients from all over the globe. The ATP World Finals hosts’ outstanding tennis action and the top 8 players in the world are here under one roof. The Association of Tennis Professionals was formed in 1972 by Donald Dell, Jack Kramer and Cliff Drysdale; this was designed to protect the interests of male tennis players from all over the world.
There have been many big names in tennis to have won this event in the past eight years, these include; Boris Becker, Pete Sampras and Roger Federer. The 2012 winner is current world number one Novak Djokovic who beat Roger Federer in the final 7-6 7-5. Federer has managed to win the ATP World Finals six times in the last nine years and will be looking for a seventh in 2013.
